National Christian charity working with disabled people to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life through the provision of care, employment and housing. Groom's Holidays is one of several operating divisions of John Grooms. It offers a wide range of accessible accommodation around England and Wales, including a fully accessible river boat on the Norfolk Broads. Provide expert care and practical and emotional support for people living with cancer, including families, friends and carers. Raise funds for specialist Macmillan nurses and doctors, build vitally needed treatment centres, provide grants for patients with financial difficulties, offer training and resources to cancer self help and support groups and provide a range of information locally and nationally.

Hands-on nursing care is provided day and night by approximately 6,000 Marie Curie nurses in patients' homes through the Marie Carie Nursing Service. This service is available throughout the UK and accessed through the local district nursing service. There are 11 Marie Curie Centres (Hospices) and admission is via GP or consultant. Both the services are free of charge to cancer patients. Runs training courses on aspects of cancer for all health professionals working in the field.

Aims to provide a range of accommodation and care services, based on Christian principles, which are open to all older people in need, whatever their beliefs. Services provided include: residential homes; dementia care homes; sheltered housing schemes; live at home volunteer befriending schemes; and the 'Live At Home' initiative.

Housing association which runs over 60 projects in the UK providing care and rehabilitation to enable young people with mental health issues, learning disabilities, addiction and other problems to live in the community. In addition to long and short term residential facilities Richmond Fellowship runs workschemes, day centres, advocacy and community outreach projects. Through its training & consultancy Service, Richmond Fellowship provide a comprehensive range of training options for its own staff and for other people involved in mental health support and human relations work.

Aims to support family based short break services in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. These services link disabled children to support families/carers who offer periods of care. Shared Care Network provides an information service, lobbies to promote appropriate services, produces good practice guides to raise standards of care, and organises training conferences. Membership varies according to size of scheme. Publications include Shared Care Network Directory of care providers, Quarterly newsletter, various other publications.

St Christopher's is the largest hospice in the UK. It cares for over 1,500 people each year. It also teaches and trains doctors, nurses and other professionals from all over the UK and from across the world.
