Countryside Information

Government department responsible for forestry, providing advice on access to forests. Facilities and camping discounts available to people with disabilities.

Provides assistance to young adults and children who are experiencing hardship or deprivation; principally by the use of educational and social training. Activities include: holiday provision; education opportunities; countryside maintenance training; residential care; run sports activities.

Committed to the protection of historic buildings, coast and countryside. A free annual information booklet entitled 'Information for Visitors with Disabilities' is published each March giving details of access for enjoyable and comfortable days out. This booklet is available in standard print, large print and on tape. A list of battery-powered mobility vehicles is also available. Also published is a booklet giving details of items for visually impaired visitors to touch.
