Disability: Equipment

DLF is a national charity that provides advice, information and training on independent living to support older and disabled people, their carers and the professionals who work with them. It maintains the UK's only comprehensive database of daily living equipment, DLF Data, which is available on subscription and is used by DLF's national Helpline to respond to over 25,000 enquiries a year. DLF's advice and information is also available free for public use via two online services - 'Living made easy' (www.livingmadeeasy.org.uk), an impartial advice website on daily living equipment and AskSARA (asksara.dlf.org.uk), an online tool that guides users to relevant advice and items of equipment that can help them based on their answers to questions.

The Parksiders is a club for Phisically Disabled Adults between the ages of 18 and 64 years, who reside in the local area. The club offers social, recreational and educational facilities for its members, within a Day care enviroment.

UPDATE is Scotland's National Disability Information Service, a disability-led organisation, a company limited by guarantee and a recognised Scottish Charity. Aims to improve the quality of life for disabled people in Scotland by enabling information providers to offer accurate, up-to-date and relevant disability-related information. Provide general information and a signposting service to individuals; the main services are to member organisations and agencies throughout Scotland. These include local, regional and national voluntary sector organisations, public sector agencies. A number of Scottish independent bodies are also include in the membership. The membership services will benefit any agency that needs accurate, up-to-date disability-related information relevant to Scotland. Provide members with a wide range of disability related information, resources and support services all relevant to Scotland. Offer a range of flexible membership packages, designed to suit the particular needs of different types of organisation.
