DLF is a national charity that provides advice, information and training on independent living to support older and disabled people, their carers and the professionals who work with them. It maintains the UK's only comprehensive database of daily living equipment, DLF Data, which is available on subscription and is used by DLF's national Helpline to respond to over 25,000 enquiries a year. DLF's advice and information is also available free for public use via two online services - 'Living made easy' (www.livingmadeeasy.org.uk), an impartial advice website on daily living equipment and AskSARA (asksara.dlf.org.uk), an online tool that guides users to relevant advice and items of equipment that can help them based on their answers to questions.
